In Kind Exchange  Do you have a business or product that would be useful to us?  Talk with you accountant, but it is quite possible that by donating it you can have a tax deduction.  Feel free to mail us your suggestion and we will get back to you.  We will need all kinds of equipment, furnishings, instruments, etc once the structure is built.

Appreciated Assets  Once again, speak with your accountant.  Often, you can donate and deduct the present value for any appreciated asset without having to pay capital gains on the appreciation.  This can be a very effective tax strategy.  Appreciated stocks can be transferred into our brokerage account.  Email or snail mail your intentions so we can discuss it.

Grain and Livestock Sales  When you are marketing your produce, you can request that some of the proceeds be directed to us at our PO Box 232, Plentywood.  Your accountant will be able to advice you about the benefits of such an arrangement.

Payroll Deduction  Many wage earners have a hard time accumulating enough funds to donate in the triple digit range, but you would be able to afford the planned $35 a month facility membership fee.  You can help build this health center by having your employer deduct a small amount from your paycheck and have it deposited in one our local bank accounts.  A dollar a day is less than a can of pop a day and the donation can be deducted.  Talk with your employer.

Buy a Brick  We plan to have an entry hall wall that will display the names of our contributors.  By donating $100 you will have your name placed on one of these tiles.  Higher levels of donation will be recognized on different plaques.

Layaway Donations  This is similar to the payroll deduction.  However, perhaps your employer isn't able to do a payroll deduction, but you still want to contribute on a regular basis.  Sheridan County Health Plus, Inc has savings accounts at the local banks.  You can deposit any amount at any time by having the bank automatically withdraw funds from your checking or savings account and having it transferred to our savings account or by going to the teller and having them credit your written personal check or cash to our account.  You will be credited with the donation for your contribution.  This way, you can vary your donation from month to month as you see fit.

Fund Raisers  We plan to have a number of fund raisers over the next two years.  Please attend and support us in this way.

Volunteer Time  Unfortunately, your time cannot be deducted from your taxes.  However, without your support this project will not be completed.  Once we reach the construction phase, your volunteer time actually doing the construction will reduce our labor costs and keep overall construction costs down.  So, as we get started on the actual work of building, please lend a hand.  Let's have an old fashioned barn-raising and get this building built!

                        Feedback and Contributions

In kind contributions:  Donate your time, materials or expertise.  If you have any skills or business interest that will benefit this project and wish to contribute to this project, this is another alternative to cash contributions. These donations keep our capital costs down and are paramount to a successful outcome.

Layaway donations:  If you feel this project is a good idea and you would be able to afford the $35.00 monthly activity fee but do not have more funds to contribute, this is an easy way for you to contribute.  We have set up accounts at local area banks that will accept timed donations so you can donate  by using funds that would be the same as your monthly activity fee but set away now as a donation to the building fund.  You can even have your employer withhold this through your payroll plan the same as flex funds and other contributions are withheld.

Fund raisers:  Like any other benevolent organization, we will be having various public fund raisers and ask your participation in these.
